Getting Here Put-in-Bay is located on South Bass Island in Lake Erie. The island is not accessible by land; there are two ferry boats that provide regular trasportation to the island. The Miller ferry departs from Catawba to Put-in-Bay. One way tickets are $6 for adults, $1.50 for children 6 to 11 years old, and children under six ride free. Summer half hour service runs as late as 9 p.m. and it's just 18 minutes to PIB. Free mainland parking. Note, you can take a vehicle on the Miller. The Jet Express departs from Port Clinton to downtown Put-in-Bay. The jet-powered catamarans travel at 42 nautical miles per hour. One way tickets are $12 for adults, $2 for children 6 to 12 years old, and children under five ride free. Note, you cannot take a vehicle on the jet. Once on the island, you can take a taxi to Sunrise Beach Inn. Our recommended taxi service is J.D's "Blue" Cab. You can contact them at 419-285-2544.
